Bio
I'm a happily married woman with an awesome husband and three great kids. I'am also a step-mom, and a step-grandma. We recently moved back to my hometown, Gainesville, FL.

I am back to being quite active in the SCA. I'm an apprentice of Mistress Maysun al-Rasheeqa and a proud member of House Herava. My focus in the SCA is Indian (dot, not feather) studies, medieval cooking and non-European costuming. I also love many textile and stillroom arts and spend a lot of time thinking about the crossovers between religion, food and medicine in the medieval worldview.

I was a Celtic Reconstructionist pagan for a long time, but not so much anymore. I was a member of ADF and my "home" is Hallowed Oaks Grove in Huntsville AL. The lack of like-minded pagans around in this area has caused me to be much less active in the larger pagan community.

I am a Libertarian. I believe the Federal government should be restricted to the letter of the 10th Amendment. I believe in the death penalty and property rights. I believe that an armed society is both a polite society and safer from military takeover. I believe you should be free to marry whomever you choose, or however many whomevers you choose. I am strongly pro-choice and pro-individual liberty.

I love to cook, I love to talk about food, and I'm a baby permaculture geek. We are active in our local food web and I'm a strong proponent of local foodways, community supported agriculture, organic gardening, and permaculture. I post recipes often and I talk a lot about my quest to become a more responsible and healthy consumer to my wordpress blog, The Green Basket. In 2012 I started working at our local farmers market, started a food forest and also started growing medicinal herbs.

Most of the people on my "flist" I know in real life or I have known on other online forums for years. I rarely add new people to my "friends" list. If you add me, I probably won't notice unless you comment in my journal. Please don't be offended if I don't add you back. If I add you, do not feel like you must add me back.
